It was set up in 1889 and was replaced by the Miramar Borough Council in 1904. The Miramar Borough Council amalgamated with the Wellington City Council in 1921 but called a special meeting in 1922 to regularise the last Borough Council balance sheet. Although various committees of the Borough Council were set up, no committee minutes appear to have survived.
