- work on the most common browsers, platforms and devices, and with assistive technologies.
Your feedback is important.
Please email us at archives@wcc.govt.nz to let us know if you:

We are aware of some accessibility issues already
This website is at the beginning of its accessibility journey. We know it currently does not meet WCAG 2.2 at Level AA, however we are making accessibility improvements and aim to fix as many issues as possible.
Some examples of areas on the website that are not accessible:
- PDFs, particularly older files which may lack navigation and are not compatible with screen readers
- maps, which may not work with screen readers
- technical content, which may be difficult to understand
- images may not have a good alternative text description
- color contrast not meeting WCAG requirements
- search filters not usable with a keyboard or screen reader
- incorrect use of headings and regions/landmarks.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We are taking action to make this website more accessible. For example:
- using automated accessibility tools to find accessibility issues
- undertaking manual testing
- open to receiving user feedback to make accessibility improvements.
