Surviving committee minutes cover the period from 1906 to 1919. The Onslow Borough Council was set up 1890 and covered the settlements of Kaiwharawhara, Crofton (later known as Ngaio), Khandallah and Wadestown. Wadestown amalgamated with Wellington in 1906, and the remaining wards of Onslow Borough in 1919. From 1906 for Wadestown, and from 1919 for the rest of the Borough, all matters relating to these areas come under Wellington City Council business. Minutes are arranged in meeting date order. The Borough Council minutes are indexed by subject matter in separate books. The index for Volume 3 (November 1900 to September 1905), however, does not exist.
