Archives Identifier00319Date Range1926?-1948DescriptionThe hand writing evidence suggests that this register was created retrospectively about 1926-27 with information about leases going back to 1872. Further entries were added to up about 1948.

Each page records details about a section of reclamation leasehold land in the Lambton, Thorndon, Te Aro Blocks, the Hunter Street Endowment, and other areas - Market Reserve and Willis Street. See inside front cover for an index to the original pages allocated for each section.

Entries include a range of information about each lot: sometimes CT (Certificate of Title) number, the block and lot and sometimes the DP number and area, street name, a brief outline of the lease (name of leasee, description of building, etc., length of lease in years, starting date, rental costs) and any further lease or file number references. For some entries, the pages have lined-off sections for 'Buildings' 'Tenancies' and 'Sales' There are rough ink drawings on some pages and a few inserted coloured scale plans of the relevant lots.

Loose documents from inside front cover include: · WCC Schedule of reclamation, street widening and sundry properties. - a printed pamphlet which cover similar and additional information as in the volume, such as deed numbers.
