Archives Identifier00356Date Range1898-1909DescriptionThis series contains only one volume containing both the minutes and the cash accounts of the Khandallah Domain Board from its establishment in 1898 to 1908 when it was taken over by the Onslow Borough. The minutes date from 15 August 1898 to 16 March 1908. Many meetings were cancelled because there was not quorum and there are no meetings recorded for 1904 and 1905, only one in 1906 and two including the final one in 1908. The cash account (numbered separately using the last pages) begins in June 1900 and ends in November 1908. There is an additional final sign off with initials H A L (?) and a date '30 .8.1909' Inside the front cover there is an inscription recording the clauses of the Public Domains Act 1881 which affected the financial running of the Board : ' ... A/c to 31 Decr each year to be rendered to the Col Treas in following January - Triplicate.... Audit' . On the facing page are pasted clippings from the Gazette announcing the formation of the Board and the inclusion of the Khandallah Recreation-ground (sic) The cover label has the additional note: 'Contains Some noble resolutions - (The path to another place is to be paved with them)'.
