Cash entries contain general totals only for rates, etc. but sometimes details about payments for rents, fees (Dog tax, cattle, etc.), licenses (hotels, etc.), contributions for works, Government subsidy, contractors' deposits, and other miscellaneous receipts. The 'Contra' payments are for advertising and printing, salaries, office expenses, street surveys, maintenance and construction, for hospital and charitable aid, and for legal and other expenses.
