Archives Identifier00368Date Range1903?-1921DescriptionThese six volumes contain extracts from the minutes of the Karori, Miramar (and former Seatoun Roads Board), Melrose, and Onslow boroughs prior to their amalgamated with Wellington City. It appears that they were created as a reference aid after the amalgamation. There are two copies of the Melrose extracts, one possibly compiled in 1903 after amalgamation and the other containing from extracts from both the general minutes and the Public Works Committee minutes. This latter volume has similarities ( covering, handwriting, layout) with the Onslow extracts volume that was created after 1919. The Karori and Miramar volumes have a different format (red pen underlining, etc.) and handwriting, and were possibly created together later, about 1920-1921. All volumes have indexes, mostly separately bound notebooks pasted into the back or front of the volumes.
