The copies cover all awards and orders of significance to the Engineer's staff, professional, technical, mechanical, labouring and clerical - engineers, carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, metal trades, drainlayers, motor mechanics, coach builders, engine drivers and firemen, plumbers and gasfitters, sheet metal works, labourers, boilermakers, cleaners, caretakers and lift attendants, and also clerical and local authority awards. Many refer specifically to Wellington City Council employees e.g. WCC Drivers Award. It is a useful compilation of legislation relating to the Engineer's Dept. occupations.
