They are arranged roughly by the date of the Health Committee meeting and record the relevant file number, the address of the property, the Committee decision ['Notice to be served'], to whom sent, date of service, time allowed, final decision and/or type of action taken [repairs or demolition] and the date of action. In the remarks column there is often additional information about the owners. Though access is limited [by date only], the volumes show the state of buildings (especially those in the inner city) from 1920s onwards. Of research use, especially for those surveying the inner city during the Depression (1920s-1930s) and again in redevelopment period of 1960s-1980s.
