In 1984, 'Wellington' was added to the masthead. The newspaper contains messages from the Mayor, information on rates, elections and Council business , publicity for Council and national and international events, promotion of Council services and facilities, and many photographs. It was produced by the Public Relations Office, at first every two months, then four times a year. There was a special issue for the opening of the Michael Fowler Centre. It continued up to September 1989?.
