Archives Identifier00513Date Range1928DescriptionThe Wellington Access Commission (as it was called unofficially) began sitting on 5 March 1928; its report in May 1928 made recommendations that resulted in the building of the Mount Victoria road tunnel and the extension of Bowen Street to Glenmore Street. The Commission heard evidence and was presented with numerous exhibits including maps and plans.

Only some of these documents hove survivied; for example, no copies have been located of Appendix C- Verbatim report of evidence, nor Appendix D - List of exhibits. Some plans and exhibits listed as part of Accession 2002/21.
