The photographs cover a variety of subjects, such as award ceremonies organised by Capital Power such as the BETA Awards Publicity photos, relating to such things as the sponsorship of new stoves for schools, winners of Capital Power competitions, sponsorship of the Saints basketball team Substations and offices used by the company Staff members at work and portraits of significant staff such as the CEO Staff social events

These photographs provide a visual record of Capital Power and the sorts of activities it was involved in. They were taken at a time of significant change in the energy sector nation-wide and these photos represent a record of that change as it occurred at Capital Power. This meant a culture shift in the department and part of that involved sponsoring community activities, something that had not been appropriate for a council department.
