The first numbering system is #/# and is not applied to all files, this system was superseded by the method of writing a sequential number, possibly when the files were sorted into a filing cabinet at the library as 'historical files'. The files were initially sorted when processing according to the second numbering system, and by whether the Library had flagged the items as worth keeping when they transferred the files to Archives. The second group of files were reviewed and decision made to retain, they are also ordered according to the second numbering system and added on to the end of the first group.Collection TypeWellington City Council
