Archives IdentifierAC008Date Range1876-1989DescriptionThis series consists of Wellington Harbour Board circulars. Each Circular number has one subject. They have various types of information including reports, correspondence and general information sent to both internal and external sources. Types of information include regular Monthly Reports from the General Manager, Progress Reports on Contracts and other works, and various types of statistics. The first two volumes are somewhat different to later ones and can include a considerable amount of correspondence attached to one Circular number. The majority of circulars were written by the Accountant, Chief Engineer, Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, Harbour Master, Secretary, and Traffic Manager. This was not exclusive though and there are other authors. The original numbering sequence ran within each volume, so volume one runs from 1-185 and volume two runs from 1-274. Only the first two volumes were like this. A new running number sequence was started at some point and the first two volumes were partially renumbered with this.
