There are some files that relate closely to those in earlier series (AF005, AF008, AF013, etc.) They can contain personal information dating back to 1879. The files refer to masters, deck officers, engineers, pursers and cadets and contain application forms, some with curriculum vitae and copies of educational certificates, agreements, medical test forms, employment and leave cards, reports on conduct and abillities, correspondence, death, retirement and redundancy information.
