The Club is one of the oldest track and field clubs still operating in the Wellington region. Their aim is to cater for athletes, both men and women, from middle school age through to veterans. The Club has always had women members except for a short period in the late 1940s.
The Kiwi Athletic Club (KAC), formed as the Kiwi Amateur Athletic Club (KAAC) and briefly known in 1990 - 2002 as Rose and Crown Kiwi Athletic Club (RCK), began like many great sports clubs from the smallest beginning on Wednesday 13 October 1926 in the old YMCA building in 150 - 152 Willis Street in Wellington City.
Many of the Club officials have acted concurrently on the executive of the Wellington Centre and that is still the case today. Internal StructuresPresidents
