The appointed committee procured a suitable site shortly after its establishment in 1923 and the first sod on the section was turned in July 1923 by the Mayor R A Wright.
Fundraising efforts by the Society included raffles, holding dances and bazaars.
The hall on the corner of Vennell Street and Mornington Road was opened in October 1932. The hall was designed by William Fielding and built by G H Mason.
The Society continued to administer the hall and it was known by different names including Vogeltown Hall and Vogelmorn Hall, with the Society changing their name in the 1960s to Vogelmorn Public Hall Society.
In the late 1970s the Volgelmorn - Kingston Progressive Association took over the administrative responsibilities of the hall, and dissolution of The Vogeltown and Mornington Public Hall Society Inc was notified in 1978.
