TypeAgencyDate RangeUnknownDescriptionJames Petherick Jnr was one of the four sons of James Petherick who arrived in Wellington with his family and his brother, George Petherick, in 1840. James Petherick Jnr was listed in Wise's Post Office Directory of 1872 as a carpenter. In 'A New Zealand Guide to Antique & Modern Furniture' it is stated: 'James Jnr must have been very interested in working with wood and very skilful. Unfortunately only one example of his work is known.' (Clearly, it was not known in 1993 that Wellington City Council owned two works by him.)
