The Trust Board consisted of five external trustees appointed by Council, along with Councillor David Major as the Council's representative on the Board.
The trustees were:
· Neale Pitches (ONZM), Director of PB Learning Ltd, former Chief Executive of Learning Media, former principal of Onslow College.
· Lee Parkinson, Director of Integration for Clemenger BBDO, on the board of the Direct Marketing Association for six years and a past Chair.
· Denise Church (QSO), a Director of the Crown Research Institute Landcare Research, on the board of World Wildlife Fund NZ, past Chief Executive and Secretary for the Ministry for the Environment.
· Frances Russell, Executive Director of the Community Trust of Wellington.
· Phillip Meyer, Chairman of the Australian Financial Services Group and a Director of Southern Cross Medical Care Society as well as an investment banker on the Mayoral Business Advisory Board, past financial advisor on the Olympics Finance Commission, and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.
· Councillor David Major Neale Pitches was appointed initial Chairman.
Trustees were for a mix of one and two year periods to ensure continuity on the Board.
