Archives IdentifierOS001Date Range1970-DescriptionThe Onslow Historian was first published in November 1970, just over two years into the life of the Onslow Historical Society. The aim of the publication was to record and encourage interest in the history of the Onslow area.
Content consists of articles and historic content provided by members of the Society. Initially these were varied, relating to different themes or subjects. In 1976-1977 there were two double issues, with articles all relating to old Khandallah houses. From Vol. 8 No. 2 (1978) each issues' articles related to a specific theme.
It appears there was a gap in publication around 1982-1983; Vol. 12 No. 2 is followed by Vol. 13 No. 3, with no publications in between. They are not listed in the summary of articles published in Vol. 13 No. 3.
The majority of editions are copyright to the Onslow Historical Society; however a small number reproduce research or images from other institutions, in which case the relevant copyright is noted against the specific edition.
