They cover Keas - Venturers and their coverage area spans from Ngaio to Crofton Downs as mentioned on Ngaio Scout and Scouts Aotearoa website. The age range for Keas is from 5-8 years and Venturers is 14-18 years.

The purpose of the group is to provide their members with the following:
-Knowledge of the outdoors
-Camping and bushcraft skills
-Networks of people to meet
-Teamwork
-Respect

Ngaio Scout Group collection consists of following records: minute books covering minutes from the
1931 to 1971, correspondence on various subjects but mostly related to events/activities organised by the Group covering date range from 1942-1973. The two correspondence folders also include correspondence related to the opening of the Ngaio Town Hall in 1942.

Then there are logbooks summarising the trip/event organised by Ngaio Scout Troop, these logbooks cover 1943-1952, 1966-1969 and additional minute books related to Wellington City Rovers Squires Minute Books 1943-1945 and Kaukau Troop Court of Honour - Minutes of meetings 1960-1964.
