There is a small bound volume which covers the list of members and executive member details who were in the committee from the date range 1945-1980.
League of Mothers was founded by Lady Alice Fergusson in 1926, first in Auckland, and Wellington, and the following year in Otago. The organisation has National, Provincial and Branch levels. (Copied from The History of League of Mothers of New Zealand by Marjorie Spencer which is included in the collection).
League of Mothers, New Zealand objective
1. To uphold the Sanctity of Marriage
2. To help Parents to realise the greatness of their responsibility and the power of their influence in forming the character of the child.
3. To establish a Fellowship of Mothers who will strive for high ideals in the Home and seek to lead their families in purity of life and steadfastness of character.

The Ngaio League of Mothers branch was set up in 1934 by Sadie Wakelin. She was responsible for starting and running Onslow News for 25 years. The first issue of Onslow News was published in April 1946. (Copied from newspaper article)

There are two books: one listing members of Ngaio branch and executive committee members from 1945-1980 and the other book includes handwritten thoughts and hints by Ngaio branch members.
