Built in 1874 by Stephen & Sons, Glasgow for The Harbour Steam Company, owned by James Mills and was the first ship built for the Company. In 1875 she was transferred to the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, but was wrecked at Taiaroa Head, Otago on 17 October 1875.
