Kaimiro II was built in 1956 by A. Stephen & Sons Ltd, Linthouse for the Union Steam Ship Company. She was designed to carry grain and served until 1975 when containerisation made her surplus because of changing trade patterns, and she was sold after a brief layup.
She was bought by Imperial Transport Corp for Maldives Shipping and renamed Coral Sea. She was transferred to the Panamanian registry and renamed Imperial Star. She also traded in the Indian Ocean for approximately 9 years as Climax Topaz, and Maldive Topaz. In 1984 she was sold to owners in the United Arab Emirates and renamed Nafisah.She was immediately sold to Pakistani shipbreakers and sailed to Gadani Beach on 22 January 1984.
