Items include minutes of the Society committee and sub-committees set up for specific actions, newsletters, annual reports and financial statements, and correspondence to and from the Society. A scrapbook of newspaper clippings and photographs captures the establishment and activity of the Society from the perspective of the media.

There is also a series of annual diaries that record the day to day operation and activity of the Museum through the 1980s and late 1990s. Through to the 1990s the minutes are maintained in chronological order. From that point they are still chronological but in folders that also contain other correspondence and reports.
