There are three volumes, possibly one missing as there is a gap between later 1875 and early 1878. However the last volume has '3' on the spine. It appears that over this period the financial year changed from July-June to April-31 March. The ledger entries cover both annual revenue and expenditure, wages and salaries, annual and by ward rates, and monthly or quarterly accounts over the whole range of works, goods and supplies, and services, including loan accounts. Some entries include names of those paid as staff, and for goods and services.
