The staff of Managers and Community and Advisory Officers included David Robinson, Frances Acey,Tina Reid, Joy Anderton, Janice Calvert, Nicola Crutchley, Di McPhee, Emile Duituturanga, etc.
The records include monthly and other reports and papers relating to community liaison organisations that had close links with Council. Most of the records refer to Aro Valley, Mount Victoria, Central City, Newtown, Island Bay, and Berhampore.
They include records of community responses to Council urban renewal propsoals, the setting up and development of Wellington and suburban community centres, health centres, citizens advice bureaux, legal centres, child care centres, women's groups, and other voluntary organisations, etc.
In some cases the Council officers promoted the formation of these groups and regularly attended meetings.
There are also papers relating to youth workers and community school holiday programmes for children and tennagers, especially those in the northern and western suburbs.
