The files have been retained either because of the length of service of the employee (20 years or more), their senior position (four of the records are for general mangers and three are for deputy general managers), or because they are of interest for another reason, for example suffering a particularly bad accident or taking the MED to court. The files contain administrative documents produced during the term of an employee’s service, typical contents include C.Vs, references, correspondence regarding commencement of employment, leave forms, accident forms and compensation, promotions or transfers, salary changes, and documentation surrounding cessation of employment.
