Archives Identifier00695Date Range1903-1922DescriptionThis series contains the remnants of a much larger plan series that was created by the Tramways and Electricity Departments. Both departments were run by the same General Manager and their record systems were generally shared. This plan system is the first numbering sequence used by the Departments for maps and plans. Most of the maps and plans that made up this system have been either renumbered into later plan series (such as series 00696), or destroyed. The remaining plans held in this series relate to early proposals for the Tramways Offices on Thorndon Quay and the construction of the Evans Bay Power Station. To allow easier management of the series, Wellington City Archives have imposed a number sequence that runs within each folder.
