It appears that the cards of those still employed in about 1976 were transferred (from Series AF023) into this series after that date. However checks against Seaman's register cards indicate that cards may contain current information (1980s) only and not complete background information about total USSCo service. It may not include those whose service continued after 1982. The cards records full name, date and place of birth, previous ship or employment, A. B. Certificate No. and after about 1945, Union No., and service details: vessel, date and place of joining, rating, character (sobriety, character, ability), date and place of discharge, and reasons for discharge.
