It appears that the cards of those still employed in about 1966 were transferred (from series AF022) into this series after that date. Those still employed after 1976 were then transferred into Series AF024.

The cards record full name, date and place of birth, previous ship or employment, A. B. Certificate N. and after about 1945, Union No. and service details: vessel, date and place of joining, rating, character (sobriety, character, ability), date and place of discharge, and reasons for discharge.
