There are cards referring to seamen with very similar personal and service history (Australian-born and serving) in the other related series (such as AF023). It appears that a separate Australian sequence of cards was maintained during the 1960s and 1970s. The cards records full name, date and place of birth, previous ship or employment, A. B. Certificate No. and after about 1945, Union No., and service details: vessel, date and place of joining, rating, character (sobriety, character, ability), date and place of discharge, and reasons for discharge.
