"All Council facilities and offices are open with all services running.
As of 11:59pm Monday 12 September the Covid Protection Framework ended.
You are not required to wear a face mask in our indoor facilities.
Our staff and other customer may still choose to wear a mask, so please be kind and respectful.
Please remember there may be some disruption to our services and facilities with positive cases in the community, so please be patient with our staff. Follow us on Facebook for the latest updates.
We’re keeping up with our regular cleaning and we ask you remain vigilant with the usual hygiene onsite, such as washing hands thoroughly and staying home if you’re sick.

Testing, self-isolating and quarantine
For detailed information about RAT tests, self-isolating and quarantine, visit covid19.govt.nz.
How you can access welfare support
If you and your whānau need extra support while you’re self-isolating because of COVID-19, you can visit the Work and Income website to request support.
You may be able to get:
money for urgent costs, like food and groceries, essential items, medicine or bills that are higher than usual, like power.
help from community, iwi or Pacific organisations to get things done, including deliveries of things you need.
The COVID-19 welfare phone line can help if you are self-isolating and need food or other essential items. Call 0800 222478.
Accessible information for disabled people
Support and information for disabled people is available on the COVID-19 website – Support and information for disabled people in New Zealand.
You can also call the COVID-19 disability helpline for assistance with vaccines, applying for face mask exemptions, advice on COVID-19 testing, and guidance with managing COVID-19 at home. This includes if your support worker or carer is unavailable. Call 0800 111213. If you are unable to call, you can text them on 8988.
Services for over 65s
Age Concern Wellington provides help and support to people aged 65 and over and has police-vetted volunteers throughout the Greater Wellington region. Visit the Age Concern website or phone them on 04 499 6648 to find out more about their services.

Looking after your mental health and wellbeing
It’s normal to feel stressed or lonely during this time. If you, your whānau or friends need to talk to someone, there is support available. If you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, or just need to talk to someone, free call or text the number 1737 to speak with a trained counsellor. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Mental Health Foundation website has a full list of helplines available.
You can find wellbeing resources to help get through COVID-19 together on the Mental Health Foundation’s website.
