They range from personal recollections to notes and accounts of historical facts, reports, speeches, stage plays, poetry, stories and correspondence.
They are arranged alphabetically and assigned tile/subject to each record. In addition to, there are additional info about the date and donors created by Onslow Historical Society.
According to Judy Siers, ex-President of Onslow Historical Society, the decision was made to arrange these records in this way "to secure a future for them and to provide user accessibility. Many were previously unknown to be in our possession. They should be viewed as important matters for record in the opinion of the authors who were or are members of the Society, local residents, historians and family recollections. However additional manuscripts will be found in files where they sit in full context of a subject, e.g. Families Collection."
The list with column for each metadata: Author, Date, Title/Subject, Donors and Date, Comment, Update is attached and can be downloaded for reference. Please note, the list was prepared by Onslow Historical Society when they arranged this collection.
