The group changed its name in 1990 to the Wrights Hill Reserve Committee, which in the early 2000s was updated to Wrights Hill Recreation Reserve Committee.

This group of volunteers started and managed the maintenance and native planting of Wrights Hill Reserve in Karori, developed a revegetation plan, and constructed the lookout.
