Record Identifier62Date Range1961DescriptionLetter written on a napkin addressed to Mary Seddon. It also includes a sketch of Mary Seddon and of the author, David Eastman.
Text reads, "April 8th, 1961. Dear Mary, I'll try and get back later, that is, before 7.30, but don't promise.
I'm sorry I haven't been in to see you while I've been back. I did come in at the "beginning" but you weren't here and I haven't been able to make time since!! I'm going back to Auckland this Tuesday, after having my 21st B.D. on Monday!!
Although I didn't write last time I was there, I shall do so this time you can be sure. Letters or no letters I thought of you often and wondered what scathing comment you'd have about whatever masterpiece I happened to be working on!!!
My very best wishes and...... my "undying love"...... sort of!
