Subdivisional as-built and approved construction plans for water supply
Descriptive Data
Archives Identifier00775Date Range1977-2011DescriptionThese are subdivision as-built and construction plans that were held by Capacity who administered water supply for Wellington City Council. These were submitted as a requirement of the Water Supply conditions of the Resource Consenting process in compliance with the Code of Practice for Land Development.
This is an extract of example water supply conditions for Land Development:
" (a) All construction plans (for specific engineering consent or building consent) must be approved by the Council prior to commencement of any construction on the site.
(b) As-built plans that meet the requirements of the Draft Code of Practice (Appendix A – Water As Built requirements) for earthworks, roading and vehicle access, sewage and stormwater drainage and water supply must be supplied to, and approved by, the Council. These must be certified as being correct by a suitably qualified person."
Wellington Water the successor to Capacity advised that the process of submitting as-built plans was inconsistent, so the approved construction plan is the only plan that may be on record.
Quantity (Linear Metres)6.5MediumPlanSystem of ArrangementThese were transferred grouped together by as-built/construction type and plan size; and the numbering system and sequence that Capacity used was not retained when this happened. Original order was lost in this process, and these numbers do not relate to any registers held. Where numbers were attached by post it note, they have been removed and transcribed in pencil in square brackets on the front of the plan.
These have been artificially numbered and an effort has been made to group them by subdivision area so that the approved construction and the as-built are sequentially together. These artificial numbers are in square brackets on the back of the plan in the top right corner.
