The series contains a variety of records that demonstrate the structure and format of how the trust operated. This includes records regarding the organisations oversight of the other Wellington region hockey turfs.

There are some records pertaining to their relationship with the Wellington Hockey Association (WHA) with whom the NHST have been in partnership with since the trusts formation. A more collaborative formal approach to the relationship with the WHA was taken in 2014.
