Descriptive Data
Archives Identifier00078Date Range1995-presentMandateBuilding Act 1991Building Act 2004Building (Accreditation of Building Consent Authorities) Regulations 2006DescriptionThis series is numbered using SR (Service Request) numbers. Archives was initially recording the date the consent was issued as the date range. For accessions from October 2002 onwards however, the date given is the date the application for consent was lodged with Wellington City Council. Ongoing changes that need to be captured in the final series description: From 1 February 2010 Project Information Memorandums (PIMs) became optional following an amendment to the Building Act 2004. See [00219:1:38] On the Level newsletter, Issue 39, March 2010. Difference between Building Act(s), Building Accreditation Regulations, Bylaws for earthworks and vehicle access etc Quick consents; when they started, trial scanning, electronic processing; need detail and date, related series From July 2013 Goget used to process inspections electronically, from that point not filed on paper files, stored in DM5 Teamwork is a related series as it contains the workflow record and structures the documents for SRs (Stored in DM5). Goget could be a similar related series, as it holds inspection workflow data. DM5 is a related series as it holds the documents relating to consents. These duplicate paper in 00078, and also are controlled by Teamwork, which arranged by SR and doc type. Matrix for determining size and complexity of building work; WCC developed own matrix following BA2004. From August 2013 will be using the matrix in the national competency framework. DM5 documents are arranged by scan code or document type; eg application, etc. Need documented list. From mid-2013 process review is reviewing structure and naming of documents that make up a building consent.Quantity (Linear Metres)3.08MediumFileSystem of ArrangementInitially the numbering sequence started at 1, and was used until SR 400. It was the realised the numbering system duplicated an earlier building consents system (Series 00060) which could cause confusion. Because of this the numbering system was restarted at 20,001, above the number ranges for Series 00060 (and Series 00061).Collection TypeWellington City Council
