There is only one surviving volume, the last before amalgamation with Wellington CIty. No prior volumes have been located. The Receipts are divided into Rates (General, Special and Hospital & Charitable Aid), Fees (Building, Pound, etc.), Tramway and Extension, Metal Account, Misc. Works, Recreation Reserve, and Miscellaneous. The expenditure subdivisions are - Management (Salaries, Stationery and Office, Advertising and Printing, Miscellaneous, Pound and Dog Registration), Hospital & Charitable Aid, Tramway and Extension, Road and Bridges, Metal Account, Miscellaneous Works, Recreation Reserve, Miscellaneous, Street Lighting, and Interest on Loans. There is also a column with cross references to ledger volume pages - no ledger volumes located. The entries show details of receipts and payments, giving position and/ or business and personal names, such as Town Clerk, Librarian, or the name name of businesses, contractors, and individuals receiving and supplying goods and services. For rates and for charitable aid, there are subtotal amounts only, no individual names. On p. 47 there are some final totals and the sign off by J H Lawlor(?), Audit Inspector, 15 June 1920.
